Survivor Philippines 12th Castoff | Marlon Carmen

Tagged in: Entertainment — admin @ 9:47 pm

At last!

Finally!

At long last!

Those are just synonyms, but anyway, perhaps many of you had the same expression, when Marlon Carmen, the 30 year old waiter was proclaimed the 12th castoff during the fourth tribal council of the Chalam tribe.

The anticipation is already in the air, it was already half-expected that maybe this time Marlon can’t evade the inevitable anymore, and truly he already run out of luck.

But surely, the more you hated him, the more you will miss his presence in the remaining days of Survivor Philippines. :-)

MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE 3) Actor Diether Ocampo will transfer to GMA 7, a top executive of the network confirmed to the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Wilma Galvante, GMA 7 Senior Vice President for Entertainment, made the confirmation as reports broke out Wednesday on yet another transfer of an ABS-CBN talent to the GMA 7 roster.

According to Galvante, Ocampo signed a “long term” contract with GMA 7 and would appear in the network’s primetime shows, reportedly the much-awaited Philippine TV adaptation of the hit Korean series, “All About Eve,” which is set to hit the TV screens next year.

She added the network “did not pirate” Ocampo because when he signed the GMA 7 contract, he introduced himself as an “independent artist.”

“He introduced himself as an independent artist when he first talked to us,” Galvante told Inquirer Entertainment by phone on Tuesday. Ocampo joined show business in 1995 as a talent of ABS-CBN.

Galvante said Ocampo will be cast in “a movie and several TV shows.”

“When we ask a talent to join our (roster),” Galvante elaborated, “it has to be mutually beneficial. The projects we will give Diether should help advance his career (and) he should (draw) more viewers to watch our shows.”

Ocampo follows several homegrown ABS-CBN talents who have jumped ship to the rival network. They include Heart Evangelista, Paolo Contis, Jolina Magdangal, Dennis Trillo, Camille Prats, Marvin Agustin, Jean Garcia, Eula Valdez, Eugene Domingo, Patrick Garcia, Pauleen Luna, Julia Clarete, Michelle Madrigal, and Richard Gomez.

For his part, Ocampo responded to an Inquirer SMS query about his transfer to GMA 7 by saying: “Merry Christmas.” (inquirer.net)

Survivor Philippines 11th Castoff | Veronica Domingo

Tagged in: Entertainment — admin @ 1:26 am

I wasn’t able to watch Survivor Philippines last weekend, and while I was on the mall yesterday, I’ve overheard the sales ladies talking about Vern Domingo as the 11th castoff of Survivor Philippines. And, obviously they are so pissed off with the new development, because they like Vern so much, that is why they are not minding their customers again. 

Anyway, what can we do? The 29 year-old taekwondo champion Vern Domingo was voted out by former Naak members JC, Rob, Cris, Kaye and Zita. While, the Jarakay members left are only Marlon, Charisse and Vern herself, obviously they were outnumbered.

So, if I may predict, I guess the next castoff will be either Marlon or Charisse. - And, the Pinoy Sole Survivor Philippines is —– dandandandan— JC Tiuseco!!! 
