Animation – OtakonEK – CosMania 2008
A lot of young Filipinos are hooked in Japanese animations. Many young Filipinos often watch animes and everytime there are events like cosplaying, anime conventions, manga tutorials, comic making et al, Filipinos will obviously be there.
I know a lot of people who’s into these kind of stuff so much. He is my friend, Chris. Since we were kids he’s the one who really loves to draw cartoon characters, make comics and collect manga/anime related items. I have also accompanied him in countless anime conventions before. We consider him as the Anime Authority in our group of friends.
On September 28, I will once again accompany him to the 2008 OtakonEK. Only this time, we will be joined by another friend, Dan together with his wife and daughter. This will not be like the previous anime events, simply because it will be held in the Philippines’ first and only world class theme park, Enchanted Kingdom (EK)in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. It means aside from the entertainment the event can provide, we can also enjoy the theme park at the same time. I miss the rides in Enchanted Kingdom so I guess this is a good time to visit it again.
For those who want to attend the event, the entrance is FREE, if and only if you will participate as a cosplayer. But if you want to be there as an spectator, you will have to pay the regular entrance fee of the park.
And on October 12, we will again be attending another anime cosplaying event called, Cosmania 2008. This will be an exciting event because you got to see hundreds of cosplayers wearing their favorite anime character costumes. This will be held at the SM Megatrade Hall 3 of SM Mega Mall in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.
