COD Greenhills Christmas Decoration goes Green

One of the most notable Christmas decoration in Metro Manila, that is annually visited by many is the one that used to be at the COD building in Cubao, Quezon City which has transferred to Greenhills Shopping Center last 2003 when the COD building closed down.

Usually their Belen is a lights and sounds presentation, the story being narrated over speakers set up and has adapted the use of automatons to make the figures move up and down, or turn, etc.
Each year, the management is changing the theme, with variations such as a fairground story, and Santa Claus’ journey.
The COD Greenhills Christmas decoration for this year will focus on the “green” theme. This is also the first time that some of the automatons has their own dialogue. The “little show” will start beginning today at 6:00pm to 11:00pm.

COD Christmas decoration is indeed already part of our history, I was also one of the excited children lining up in front just to see the moving characters when I was still younger. And, it is so amazing how they had keep up with the tradition and helped brighten up the Christmas of many people.

Even though the old COD had already closed down, perhaps the owner thought that they owe it to many Filipinos who had already claimed it as a tradition. And, I think it is just proper to thank them for their priceless “Christmas gift”.
